Parents Arrested in Death of Infant Found in Dresser Drawer; Father’s Girlfriend Also Arrested

An arrest has been made in the 2024 death of infant Brookelynn Fancher, who was found unresponsive in a dresser drawer at a motel on May 26, 2024. Murder charges have been accepted for both parents, Jeremy Fancher, 38, and Destiny Campos, 21.
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) responded to a child death at a motel in the 7100 block of Rancho Mission Drive, near Bellaire Boulevard, on Sunday, May 26, 2024. The parents had reportedly been living at the location for over a year. Four-month-old Brookelynn Fancher (born January 29, 2024) was found unresponsive and pronounced deceased at the scene. Initial reports indicated the infant had been sleeping inside a dresser drawer, where she was found.
HCSO Homicide and Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Units conducted the follow-up investigation, leading to murder charges against both parents. Destiny Campos was taken into custody and booked into the Harris County Jail on Friday night, June 20th. Her bond has been set at $300,000.
On Saturday, June 21, Jeremy Fancher was apprehended and booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 11:30 am. Also arrested on the same day was 39-year-old Marilyn Jennifer Mork, Fancher’s current girlfriend, who was charged with Hindering Apprehension and booked into the Tom Green County Jail at 8:51 am. No bond has been set as they are waiting to be extradited to Harris County.
