Man Arrested After Fatally Stabbing Girlfriend Inside Houston Business

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal stabbing of a woman at a business located at 6968 Wilcrest (Little Saigon area) around 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14th, 2025.

The suspect, identified as 53-year-old Santos Hernandez Cornejo, is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court. His booking photo has been released by Houston police.

According to HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective J. Brown, officers responded to reports of a stabbing and discovered a 50-year-old woman inside the business suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department pronounced her deceased at the scene. The Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences is working to notify her family before releasing her identity.

Investigators learned that Hernandez Cornejo, who was in a relationship with the victim, argued with her in the business parking lot before chasing her inside and stabbing her multiple times. He fled the scene on foot.

Hernandez Cornejo later turned himself in to police and admitted to his involvement in the woman’s death. He was subsequently charged and booked into the Harris County Jail.

The investigation remains ongoing.
