Suspect Arrested in West University Place Car Burglary; Manhunt Continues for Second Suspect

On Tuesday night and into early Wednesday, West University Place Police responded to a burglary of a motor vehicle in progress in the 6500 block of Mercer. Officers arrived and located Ivan Bradshaw, who matched the suspect description. Bradshaw became combative during the attempted detention but was safely apprehended by multiple officers.

Bradshaw was charged with Interference with Public Duties and found in possession of burglary tools and a loaded handgun.

A second suspect, described as a Black male wearing dark clothing, escaped. A police perimeter involving multiple agencies, a helicopter, and K-9 units was established, but the suspect was not located. Detectives continue to investigate and work to identify the second suspect.

Authorities thanked the resident who reported the suspicious activity and the Houston Police Department and Bellaire Police Department for their assistance in the search.
