Two Bonded Suspects Arrested After Attempted Vehicle Burglary in Atascocita

On May 29, 2025, deputies with Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a report of an in-progress vehicle burglary in the 5300 block of Dawnburst Drive in Atascocita. The caller reported multiple male suspects wearing gloves and masks attempting to break into a vehicle.

Deputies arrived quickly and observed two males at the scene. When they attempted to make contact, both suspects fled on foot. After a short pursuit, both were apprehended and identified as 21-year-old Jalcobe Campbell and 19-year-old Jeremiah Thomas.

Investigators determined that Campbell was out on bond for Evading Arrest in a Motor Vehicle, while Thomas, a convicted felon, was out on bond for Assault. Their arrests prevented a burglary from being carried out.

Both suspects were booked into the Harris County Jail on charges of Evading Arrest. Campbell’s bond was set at $5,000 and Thomas’ bond at $15,000, both issued by County Court 8.
