Woman Charged in 2020 Grisby Road Murder Arrested in Travis County

A suspect wanted in connection to the 2020 fatal shooting of a man in west Houston is now in custody, authorities announced.
Ceaira Bluford, who is charged with murder in the 230th State District Court, was arrested on May 31 by the Pflugerville Police Department. She is currently held at the Travis County Jail and awaiting extradition to Harris County.
Bluford is accused in the death of Tony Williams, 26, whose body was discovered inside his apartment at 14805 Grisby Road around 4:05 p.m. on October 5, 2020.
According to Houston Police Department Homicide Division Detectives C. Davidson and R. Bounds, officers were dispatched to the apartment after a friend of Williams forced entry and found him unresponsive. The friend reported not hearing from Williams since October 3 and grew concerned when calls went unanswered.
Williams had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Following an investigation, Bluford was identified as the suspect, and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office filed a murder charge against her on January 22. A 2023 booking photo from Harris County was released along with the announcement of her capture.
The investigation remains ongoing.
